ABOUT US

Workers United has thousands of members in the US and Canada who work in manufacturing, retail, and distribution. Our union has a rich, century old history, and our present-day organization is the result of several mergers of unions that were formed in the early 20th century to protect the rights of clothing and textile workers.

Our union, and its predecessor organizations, has always been at the forefront of the struggle for social, racial, economic and immigrant justice. That is why we are now proud to partner with workers and business organizations in the Illinois adult use cannabis industry, and we are committed to ensure that prosperity finds its way to the communities most adversely impacted by the tragic, racist and wrongheaded “War on Drugs”.
